Support vehicles can be parked outside of the camping ground at Oreti Park. Campervans will be directed to a separate field within the grounds in which to park.

Rally pass holders have access to a free shuttle bus service from the Burt Munro Rally site camping grounds to the Indian Motorcycle Beach Racing & NZ Champs (and back). Access to Oreti Park Speedway and Teretonga Park are in walking distance from the Burt Munro Rally site camping grounds. There is also a shuttle bus service available from the Burt Munro Rally Site camping grounds that goes on a loop into town (Dropping off at Waxy O’Shea’s Irish Pub) and back again from 7pm - 1am on the Friday and Saturday nights of the Burt Munro Challenge.

All overseas competitors wishing to compete in New Zealand must obtain a Start Permission and FIM International Licence (if applicable) from their own Federation and have this sent to MNZ prior to the event being held. This is the competitor’s responsibility. MNZ shall send the organising Club and Steward for the event a copy of these documents. For further information contact admin@mnz.co.nz.

Competitor packs will be posted out mid-January. This includes your order confirmation, competitor medallion, an event information manual, Competitor & Crew wristbands x3 (provides access to your racing event/s and the Rally Site).

International competitor packs will NOT be posted. International rider packs are to be collected from the Burt Munro Rally Site Registration Tent.

  • ALL ACCESS Rally Pass: $130 This pass provides you with access to all Burt Munro Challenge racing events, access to the Burt Munro Rally Site to enjoy our evening entertainment (Friday and Saturday nights) and/or camping facilities including showers at Oreti Park. 
  • GENERAL Rally Pass: $80 This pass gives you discount to all Burt Munro Challenge racing events ($10 instead of $20 per race event), access to the Burt Munro Rally Site to enjoy our evening entertainment (Friday and Saturday nights) and/or camping facilities including showers at Oreti Park.

You can pick up your Rally Pass at the Rally Registration Tent on the Wednesday from 12.00pm – 8.00pm or on the Thursday, Friday or Saturday when the rally site is officially open from 9am onwards daily.

  • Rally site passes can be purchased under the Rally Site tab on this website, using your Credit Card/Direct Debit or Bank Transfer. Please note: Rally Site Passes will not be sent in the mail, they will be available for collection from the Burt Munro Rally Site registration tent on the Wednesday from 12.00pm – 8.00pm or on the Thursday, Friday or Saturday between 9.00am and 7.00pm.
  • Rally site passes can be purchased on arrival to the Rally Site using EFTPOS/Credit Card/Debit Card or Cash. 

Tickets can be purchased under the Spectator tab on this website, E Hayes and Sons or at the entrance to the event (CASH ONLY, NO EFTPOS). 

The Burt Munro Rally site is located at Oreti Park - 439 Dunns Road, Invercargill.

Camping is permitted from Monday prior to the start of racing, please note you are welcome to camp at the Rally Site on a casual basis from the Monday prior to racing commencing, however, no facilities or security are provided outside of the official Rally Site opening on the Thursday.

Competitors must buy a Competitor's Camp Pass ($40) when signing up to compete. Competitors camp with all other Rally goers at the Burt Munro Rally site.

Yes, but they must abide by the following rules:

  • Caravans can be inside the Rally camping area in a designated area along the South boundary but cannot leave for the duration of the Rally.
  • They must be parked up before Wednesday night as only motorcycles will be permitted in or out of the Rally site from 9:00am Thursday morning.
  • Anyone with a car will need to park it outside the Burt Munro Rally grounds.
  • With the exception of motorcycles - Any vehicle wanting to come and go during the day must park outside the Burt Munro Rally grounds in the carpark or field designated.
  • People wishing to stay in these areas will have access to Rally facilities provided, only if they have purchased a Rally Pass.
  • Our Rally Security will not be responsible for these areas.
  • Only pedestrian traffic will be allowed access to the Rally site from these designated parking / camping areas.
  • There will be no facilities of any kind provided in these designated parking / camping areas and all campers must be self contained.
