Burt Munro Challenge Rally: 8th February - 12th February 2023

There are two types of Rally Site passes available for purchase; both give you access to the Rally Site, with the option to purchase entry to ALL six racing events, or selected racing events.

Please note: Rally Site passes are not posted prior to the event. Passes are to be collected on arrival to the Rally Site from the registration tent by providing your name and order number.


ALL ACCESS Rally Pass: $120

This pass will suit those who intend on seeing 3+ racing events.

This pass provides you with:

  • ALL ACCESS to Burt Munro Challenge racing events (6 events in total)
  • Access to camping at the Burt Munro Rally Site at Oreti Park
  • Burt Munro Challenge Rally badge
  • Access to Rally facilities including showers (free), food stalls, bar and merchandise tents
  • Access to the live entertainment marquee at the Rally on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights
  • Free buses to and from the Indian Motorcycle Beach Racing & NZ Champs
  • Free courtesy coaches to and from the CBD on Friday and Saturday evenings between 7pm - 1am

*Breakfast not included however available for purchase in the mornings

GENERAL Rally Pass: $60

This pass will suit those who intend on seeing 2-3 racing events.

This pass provides you with:

  • 50% discount to all Burt Munro Challenge racing events ($10 instead of $20 per race event)
  • Access to camping at the Burt Munro Rally Site at Oreti Park
  • Burt Munro Challenge Rally badge
  • Access to Rally facilities including showers (free), food stalls, bar and merchandise tents
  • Access to the live entertainment marquee at the Rally on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights
  • Free buses to and from the Indian Motorcycle Beach Racing & NZ Champs
  • Free courtesy coaches to and from the CBD on Friday and Saturday evenings between 7pm - 1am

Collecting your Rally Site Pass
(Collection is from the registration tent located at the Burt Munro Challenge Rally Site, Dunns Road, Otatara)

  • Early bird collection: Our registration tent will be open from Wednesday 8 February from 12noon – 8pm for the collection of pre-purchased passes (includes both general and all access passes).
  • General registration tent collection hours: Thursday 9, Friday 10, and Saturday 11 February, 8am – 7pm for the collection of pre-purchased passes (includes both general and all access passes). Rally pass sales will also be available onsite from Thursday 8am (cash and eftpos available).
  • Please note: All visitors to the Rally Site are required to be registered and have a pass.

The Burt Munro Challenge Rally Site

  • You are welcome to camp at the Rally Site outside of the official opening hours, which are Thursday 9 – Sunday 12 February, however, please be aware that NO facilities (showers/toilets), or security will be provided.
  • Right of admission is reserved at all times. No glass, no patches, and no animals are allowed on site. We operate on sports grounds and ask that you respect them if our continued use of them is to remain available to us all.



Purchase of Meals

  • Cooked breakfasts and hot evening meals are available for purchase at the Rally Site on a ‘roll up’ basis, subject to availability. Breakfast will be available from 7am – 10am and hot meals from 7.30pm – 10.30pm.
  • Food vendors will be on-site outside of these times.

Campervan Rules:

  • Caravans can be inside the Rally camping area in a designated area along the South boundary but cannot leave for the duration of the rally.
  • They must be parked up before Wednesday night as only motorcycles will be permitted in or out of the Rally site from 9:00am Thursday morning.
  • Anyone with a car will need to park it outside the rally grounds.
  • With the exception of motorcycles - Any vehicle wanting to come and go during the day must park outside the Rally grounds in the car park or field designated.
  • People wishing to stay in these areas will have access to Rally facilities provided, only if they have purchased a Rally Pass.
  • Our Rally Security will not be responsible for these areas.
  • Only pedestrian traffic will be allowed access to the Rally site from these designated parking / camping areas.
  • There will be no facilities of any kind provided in these designated parking / camping areas and all campers must be self-contained.

TERMS & CONDITIONS GENERAL

WARNING: Motor racing is dangerous and persons attending this meeting do so entirely at their own risk. It is a condition of admission that all persons having any connection with the promotion and/or organisation and/or conduct of the meeting including the owners of the land and drivers and owners of the vehicles are absolved from any liability arising out of any accidents howsoever caused resulting in damage and/or personal injury to spectators.

  • Rally Passes are non-refundable even if the event is cancelled. Once tickets have been purchased, this order cannot be cancelled. Tickets are only refundable in cases of unforeseen circumstances and will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
  • The organisers are not obliged to replace lost or stolen Rally Passes.
  • The organisers reserve the right with reasonable cause, to refuse admission or remove any person from the event.
  • The organisers take no responsibility for unaccompanied children under the age of 15 and reserve the right to refuse admission to unaccompanied children.
  • The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the event programme at any time.
  • While within the event area, patrons must not distribute any printed material without prior consent or behave in an indecent manner.
  • I understand that I am attending this event at my own risk which includes loss to personal property.
  • Any person who is deemed as intoxicated prior to entering the event will be refused entry.
  • I am obliged to follow the instructions of Burt Munro Challenge Officials, Volunteers, Support Staff and Emergency Services while at the event.
  • I understand that by entering any of the Burt Munro Challenge Events or the Burt Munro Rally, I (or any children under the age of 15 in my care) may be filmed, photographed or taped and this may be used in future promotional materials the Burt Munro Challenge produces. It is deemed that a person by entering the event consents to the Burt Munro Challenge or third parties appointed by the festival for photographing, filming or taping. The Burt Munro Challenge or third parties appointed by the event organisers can broadcast, publish, licence and use any photographs, film, recordings or images without compensation. The Burt Munro Challenge, third parties and anyone acquiring from them a right to use the material are not liable to the subject for its use in any way.

  • I understand that by entering the Burt Munro Rally, any children under the age of 15 in my care must vacate all Rally marquees, and licensed areas by 9pm. All children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult in marquees at all times and be within arm’s reach of caregivers.
